The nice guys over at Spigen sent me a Neo Hybrid Carbon case for iPhone 6S Plus to review, here’s what I thought.
The first small detail that struck me with the Spigen box was a small tab near the top designed to make opening the box a simple, non frustrating experience.
Inside the box is just as simple as the rest, you’ll find the Neo Hybrid Carbon case with a small printed card.
Each Spigen case comes with a unique serial number that can be verified on the Spigen website to assure that the product is genuine.
The case itself is in two parts, a polycarbonate outer frame and a shock absorbing TPU inner frame.
The outer frame of the case sports sizely cut-outs providing easy access to the phone ports and mute button, the volume and power buttons are covered by chrome tactile buttons.
The carbon fibre pattern on the rear of the case provides a very sporty looking shell for the iPhone, while offering adequate protection for drops and hits.
The case feels great to hold and increases the grip in your hand, to avoid drops that the case is intended to protect from.
It was sent to me was in Reventon Yellow but is also available in Dante Red and Gun Metal, coming in at 0.39″ the case increases the iPhone 6S Plus size by only 0.10″ which is mainly on the front protecting the screen.
I have drop tested the case a couple of times from roughly 1m on to a wooden table and so far it has held its own, I have used the case for a couple of days and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future,
Although being marketed for the iPhone 6S Plus, the Neo Hybrid Carbon is also compatible with the iPhone 6 Plus, the Neo Hybrid Carbon is also available in variants for other popular smartphones.
As alway I would love to know what you think of the article so please leave a comment below and make sure to retweet, like and all that other social stuff.
